The Nexus seems to work well right out of the box. I installed it myself. Very intuative user interface. Probably gives more info than one needs. I have the full System 3000 with the addition of the WindData display. #11 I belive has a System 3000 less the Wind Transducer and Display. Easy to upgrade.
I did call technical support and found Nexus extremely helpful.
I don't have experience with KVH, but I sure like the Nexus System.
